Appoints Dr. Sumit Kumar Chand as Principal Scientist for Data Sciences

Chennai, 28th January 2013: Empowering organizations to capitalize on the immense opportunities in the area of Data Sciences, Technosoft announced the launch of Technosoft Information Edge Services (TIES). TIES will partner with enterprises to help them adapt to the insights from their information assets and transform them into foresights in near real-time thereby providing the competitive edge. As a part of this new initiative, the company has also announced the appointment of Dr. Sumit Kumar Chand as Principal Scientist of the Data Sciences practice. Dr. Chand is an industry acknowledged leader in the field of Data Sciences with specific interest in the area of application of machine learning algorithms to machine data analytics.

Technosoft to open 20k sqft unit in chennai

Jan 30, 2013, Chennai: IT Services and staffing firm, Technosoft, has taken up 20,000 sq ft of space at Shriram SEZ to set up its new office. It has the space on lease and is inventing Rs 5 crore in building it. "The work in this facility would mainly be IT services and BPO related. it should be operational in about 3 weeks time," said Rajiv Tandon, CEO of Technosoft.

Technosoft, which started off as a staffing firm in the US in 1990, diversified into IT services and BPO and started operations in India at Ascendas in Chennai at the end of 2005. Since diversification into IT, its revenues have tripled. it employees 1,900 people worldwide, of which 1,500 are based in India. Technosoft now has five offices in India - four in Chennai and one in Bangalore.
